2 tablespoons Sugar (optional)
3 oz. Apple Brandy or Peach Schnapps
1 lime, sliced
1 pint mixed berries
1 lemon, sliced
2 Grannie Smith apples, one sliced and one whole
2 ripe peaches or nectarines, sliced
1 bottle Happy Knight Apple Wine (750 ml)
2 cups good quality orange juice
Sparkling Water, for topping off glasses of Sangria at table
Combine all ingredients except sparkling water and whole apple in a large pitcher. Chill Sangria several hours. To serve, spoon fruits from pitcher into glasses or goblets, adding a few fresh berries in each glass, pour Sangria over top of the fruit. If the apple slices have browned, simply discard and replace with fresh slices from the leftover apple. Top glasses off with a splash of sparkling water and enjoy!
For a sweeter sangria add 2 tablespoons of sugar prior to chilling.
