Pan Seared Pork Chops, with a Sweet and Sour Cranberry and Thyme Sauce
Ingredients:
- 1/4 Cup Happy Knight Cranberry Wine
- 2 Pork Chops
- 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 1/4 tsp Thyme
- Balsamic Vinegar (just a splash)
- Salt and pepper
- Cranberries or Cherries (optional)
Preparation:
- Heat pan to medium-high and add olive oil
- When pan is hot add pork chops and sear on one side until nice and golden brown (about 3-5 minutes). Flip and sear on the other side until brown. Ensure cokked through, then remove to plate and cover
- Add 1/4 cup of Happy Knight cranberry wine to deglaze the hot pan
- Add a 1/4 tsp of dried thyme
- Reduce the sauce until slightly thickened, adding a splash of balsamic vinegar for balance and complexity
- Salt and pepper to taste
